my friend has a 98 GS spyder. He hooked his venom-1000 n2o kit up himself. He says at wot, it only kicks in at 5k-end of 2nd. Then 3rd-nothing. What could it be? U think he tapped into the wrong wire on the TPS?

Don't really know what could be wrong, I didn't know they made a kit for the spyder? They have a 4G64 not a 420A, Maybe he got the 420A kit, which Venom gave the wrong directions for that one anyway. They give you directions for the 4G63 wiring.

GS spyder= 4G64. Spyders either have 4G64 or 4G63 unless swapped.

yeah, and his nitrous won't work except in 2nd at 5k and up, then won't kick back in in 3rd. What's up with that? Any suggestions? Wrong TPS wire tapped?

That might be it. When I bought mine, it would surge on and off. The problem was they set the TPS activation voltage too high, and my volts were just jumping in and out of the activation range. You might want to call up Venom (Python Inj.). They are really helpfull. I think the N2O guys name is Greg if I can recall. Maybe your friend has the same problem, hopefully yes because it's an easy fix for Venom.

we are starting a club and we got a guy with a celica that had a zex kit. not the new celica, the one b4, but with flip up lights? It had a clean kit, hood, custom enclosure for subs, and 75 shot zex and some engine work, valve job, etc. Anyhow, he said it sounded like the tps wire was hooked up wrong. He said to cut the car off, but have someone floor the gas pedal while another person put a test light on the wires for the tps. He said the wire u tap lights up at WOT. I guess he knows since he had a zex kit.

Yes a voltage meter will do the same thing, that's what I used on mine.
