i have a 97 gs, and i am ALMOST done with the installation of my nitrous system (NOS kit #50122) It is a dry system and i have been told that i cannot use a dry kit on a 97... is this true?

i kinda need answers quick :)

I hate to tell you this, but you need a wet kit. It MIGHT be possible to run a dry kit on a very samll shot, but im not sure.

ok, is the 50 shot small enough? and what components would i need to convert this to a wet kit?

im not sure if the shot would be different, but you would need a fuel line, solinoid, a 2 into 1 nozzle, fuel jet, adn maybe a relay.

can you even convert a dry to wet safely, anybody?

i know it has been done on a honda before...

but would i be able to do a 50 shot for a while without it?

i'm pretty sure that you can convert from dry to wet...and also i wouldn't recommend using the dry shot on your '97...at least not from what i've been told on the board here...

From what I've been told, the 97-99 cars run much leaner than the 95-96's. The OBD-II computer causes it to do this, this is why you can't run a dry system on a 97-99. Your car will running too lean to handle the juice and then BOOM, you're engine is gone. If you must run a dry kit on your car; don't go above 50 shot, make sure your fuel system is in perfect (I mean perfect) shape, and make sure your ignition system is running perfect. It'll probaly work fine with just a 50 shot, but BE ADVISED that everytime you engage it you're running the risk of leaning out your engine and causing massive damage. This is just my advice and do what you want with it, but I'd take dry kit off and send it back to whomever you bought it from, then get the RIGHT kit for our cars which is the wet system and not worry everytime I flipped the switch.
