Have any of u guys ever squeezed on 4th and 5th gears?? when i do the pull doesn't seem to be so much.. the other night, i was racing an integ.. i squeezed on him on 4th and 5th.. seemed like my car jus stopped accelerating.. then my car jus shuts off.. and i get stuck on the exit.. i couldn't start the car after that.. and now i don't know why it won't start =( .. so now i'm without my car.. my uncle, being a mechanic , checked it out.. he said its most likely my ignition coil cuz the spark was red not blue.. i think it's something in my fuel system.. wat do u guys think? my homie asked his friend what he thought , and he told me that ur not suppose to squeeze on high end.. is that true?? ur help is greatly appreciated.. thanks guys..

when you said start, yo hear anything? like the pump trying to work, or the engine gettin some spark?

Your really not supposed to squeeze in your final gear. Reason being is this... If your running at WOT in 5th gear and squeeze, your gonna hit your rev limiter quickly which will cut your fuel, cause your engine to run lean, and possibly cause detonation. Plus, our gear ratio's aren't suited well for it. Just to be safe, spray in 1st thru 3rd only, if you aren't ahead spraying those gears then chances are your gonna lose anyway. 9 out of 10 of my races I've got a good enough lead through 3rd to let the spray off and motor it home.

I have no problem sqeezing in 4th gear. I have to anyways in the 1/4 mile. I race people all the time on the freeway sqeezing in 4th. I never sqeeze in 5th because we cut the racing at around 110. Unless your going to race until 140 or something there shouldn't be any reason to sqeeze in 5th.
