My friend is trying to get rid of his NOS wet system. It was on his Civic SI.

I just want to know if it'll install properly on my eclipse or if it's not a good idea?

He said that he's getting rid of the wet system because it could cause problems on his SI because of the engine works and the way the wet system mixes fuel (or something). Will a wet system be ok on an eclipse? I heard wet systems were better.

I really have very little knowledge of nitrous setups... i'm a turbo guy :9 Only reason i'm considering it is because i may be getting it really cheap. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

unless the kit was adapted to his car for some odd reason it should be ok , nitrius on stock motors cant be very unforgiving do some nitrius research u may want to grab a msd or crane ignition to retard while on the bottle...

nitrius is just gas and hoses and fittings should work for u if not somone could help u get the right fittings...

anyone else have any advice/help/comments for this?

I'm not really too sure how wet systems work.. don't want to buy something and be stuck with something difficult and dangerous. :(

Is it the NOS nozzle wet kit? regardless it should be able to work. the most kits try to segregate themselves by engine size, not by type of car.

Yes a wet system will work fine and that's less of a fuel problem you'll have to deal with because it's a wet kit it compensates for the nitrous with the fuel that it adds with the nitrous. You're friend speaks blasphomy. wet systems are better depending on who tou talk to, if you talk to me i'll say wet and if you talk to somebody with a dry kit they will more than likely say dry. it's a never ending cycle but it's all a matter of opinion.

Being a turbo guy i think you would appreciate a wet system better being that you have enough fuel worries as is. personnaly i'd get it and squeeze and spool on everybody. anyways, good luck and i hope i helped at least a little.

The wet kid will work fine. Generally speaking, nitrous kits are universal. Like said above, Wet isnt necessaril better then Dry, but cars that dont have many modifications (i.e. fuel pump + injectors + fpr) will probably be better off with a Wet kit as it mixes the nitrous and fuel together BEFORE it is sprayed, and doesnt rely on your car's fuel system to compensate. Dry kits are a bit easier to install tho, as you dont need to tap into any fuel lines. But since you are the fortunate owner of an eclipse, all you have to do to tap into the fuel line is take the schrader valve out of the back of the fuel rail, plug in your line and BAM, you've got fuel. Why would wet be BETTER than dry?.. Is it because of ease of installation?

Wet would be better IMO.. so you won't lean out (right?).. I know someone who blew few pistons on his car with a 150 shot dry.. very very dumb idea.. but it wasn't a DSM though :-) ..

Basically, a dry system depends on your ECU and sensors to compensate for fuel. A wet system on the other hand hacks into the fuel line and delivers a n20 and fuel mixture into the intake.

That's as much as I know about nitrious kits (which is why i posted). I'm assuming with a wet system, you can control how much fuel you'd like to have mixed with the n2o. If that is the case, then it's a much safe setup, as we all know it is better to run a little rich then a little lean.
