What kind of plugs do you use and what do you gap them to? I just bought some Bosch Platinum's(not the 4's) since I could'nt find the NGK's and wanted to know what to gap them too or should I just trash these and find some NGK's in the 7 range(the Bosch are the 7's also). My car misfired/backfired from a stop today and I know this is the problem since those were the only thing I've changed on it.

Don't run those Platinum's with nitrous, it will run like shit. Get some of the NGK's that everyone else runs, I can't remember the number some one else on here should be able to give you the number.

Thanks for the replys. I changed the gap on them to .030 and they seem to work fine for now. I ordered some NGK's(7's) and they will be here Friday. No one around here keeps them in stock. What will I need to gap these to or should I leave them the way they are from the factory?

What size shot are you running? On a 75 shot your fine with the stock temp range plug in NGK. I gap mine at .50 and had no problems ever. I Check my plugs pretty frequently to. Our plugs are fairly cold rated anyway so going a colder range will just inhibit more plug fouling.

I guess it's a 70 shot. I have the Venom kit and I'm going to use the green nozzle. I'm not about to try the purple since my car has alot of miles on it(127k). What do you guys think about keeping the Bosch Platinum 4's in? I've been running those for awhile without any problems before I got the kit.

I would just go to regular NGK's. When using nitrous it could cause the platinum coating to flake off of the plug which is not good at all. :)

OK I got the r-7's. I gapped them to .042. Is this fine or should I gap them to something else?
