Hey guy's I was wondering what is the most a built bottom end can take assuming the fuel supply is taken care of? Here is what I have have.
JE 8:8.1 with rings boared .20 over
Seinze custom rods (600+hp)
Knife edged and shaved crank
Clevite bearings
Shaved oil pump to bump up oil preasure
Stage 3 ported and pollished head
twin Accel coil packs
PT lashers
oversized Stainless steel valves
Titanium springs and retainers
Custom 4" sheet metel intake manifold
and all solid steel motor mounts.
aside from that, she is all stock. :)

well unless u have turbo i cant see why u ahve 8.8 :1 pistons, with forged pistons and arp head studs mls gasket tuned properly i would assume u could get a 200 shot or bigger out of it phat ridz with 12:1 compression and 27 psi hit a 150 shot u might need stainless steel valves though....

Most of the Neon guys are running about 150 shot on 10.5:1 that I have seen so you should be cool with 200 (educated guess) with good tuning. Direct port of course.

BTW, What's up Ray, long time no see!

Thanks for the replies guy's. I do have stainless steel valves along with custom grind cams from Web designed for Darrel coxes 9 second neon, that pull to 10,000 rpms without failure. I will be installing a turbo (prob somthing small like a 60-1 or a S-25G from HRC.) Thanks again guy's. SEE YA!!!!!!!

Thats a good question, what is this I hear Howell sells or programs our ecu's now. Is that true? if so what all can he do and how much will it cost?

Maybe you guys can help me out as well......

My third engine will be finished Monday if I get off my ass tomorrow and build it. I'm highly considering using a direct port nitrous setup instead of turbo this time around. I used to run a 70-shot on a mostly stock engine. For my new engine, I'm using:

JE 8.8:1 Pistons and Rings
Eagle H-Beam Rods
ARP bolts/studs
Completely Balanced & Blueprinted .020 over
Port & Polished Head
MLS Headgasket
Cold Air Intake
60mm Throttle Body
Full header-back 2.5" custom exhaust

I'm familiar with turbo fuel setups but I need some help with a nitrous setup. Are there preferred ignition/fuel setups for use with nitrous. It seems that the turbo guys are using S-FMUs with intake and inline fuel pumps. What do I really need for a 150-200 DP shot of juice?

A progressive Nitrous controller.

you call that a small turbo? of course there is only one real way to tell how much you can run but that involves blowing an engine lol

Ofcoarse I'll need the progressive controller, but I'm referring to what I need for a fuel setup. Any ideas on that?

the controller should provide more fuel a sfmu unit would be good, with larger injectors and possibly a 8 injecotr setup?
