40718, Dual Bottle setup Q's???
Posted by jdpilot, Dec-14-02 08:08 AM
It is time, time to squeeze. I am going to go with the NOS 05123 kit (Dry for my 95) from summit but would like to add on to it. I want a dual bottle setup for cosmetic/show purposes and so I always have a spare filled bottle of giggle gas. What spare fittings/parts would I need to order (other than the obvious 2nd bottle and mount). Do I just split the line with a Tee? I am new to this so any info will help. Part numbers? Also, can summit substitute the standard bottle that comes in the kit with the polished one? Thanks.

Also, any pix of your dual setup that you can post would help. I'd like to see some mounting (errrr) positions. Thanks.

You need:
A nitrous kit
2 bottles
2- 1 foot pieces of braided hose, one to come off of each bottle into the Y fitting
1 Tee or Y fitting
and 2 blow down tubes, if you want to use them, which you will need if you plan on racing at a track.
That’s about it

Just wondering here...

Why are you going with NOS, and WHY?!?! are you going dry?

He is using a dry nitrous kit because his(or her, just in case ;-)) 420a eclipse is a 95. 95 eclipses came with a return style fuel system which has a FPR (fuel pressure regulater) mounted onto the fuel rail. This is ideal for a dry nitrous kit.

96+ 420a eclipses came with a return style system and a wet kit would be used on these applications. the only real way to get around using a wet kit on these is a venom nitrous kit which uses the fuel injectors to supply the added fuel by adding another fuel pulse.

Thanks bro. ^^^^^nailed it on the head. And also why I am going NOS, well, Funds$$$. I figure If the engines gonna blow its better to blow on NOS ($500 invested) as opposed to turbo ($2000+ invested). This way I will have the extra umph I need in the spring and will have dough leftover "incase" and to save towards the eventual turbo build. Plus, I have always wanted to squeeze, even if its for only 1 season and a 50 shot is pretty safe on stock internals.
