as far as I know a 12:1 FMU is a 12:1 FMU. They have 1 in, 2 outs, and a vacuum port. They rise 12psi fuel per pound of positive pressure.
What differences can there be?

Don't get a 12:1. I think star runs 8:1 and people still run incredibly rich. If you want injectors bigger then stock then you pretty much have to buy another FMU or else do it right and get the fricken S-FMU the first time around :)

Yep, STAR kit uses a 12:1 disk, you would use the 8:1 if you had 30lb injectors.

Hmm..Ok, what exactly do you have? What internal pieces? Do you have the internal diaphram, spring, spring keepers, any disk/rings? Are than any screws or anything in the 3 ports on the SFMU lid?? If you look into each port hole on the lid, you should see a adjustment screw or allen head screw in the "vacuum" and "boost" ports. The SFMU ships from the factory with the "boost" port plugged with a screw.

The blue you see is the diaphram. I would open it up to see whats inside. Once you open it up, it should include in order, from the SFMU lid top, down : Spring keeper, short dark spring OR longer silver spring, second spring keeper, diaphram, then disk, then the ring around the disk. If you got the largest disk in it (3.72"), then that disk uses NO ring around it. If you have all of this, then you can get the extra disks/rings from Vortech directly. I believe the whole disk kit is around 35 bucks. I also recomend to get the optional bleed valve too. This valve will go into the "bleed" port on the SFMU lid top. You just take out the screw, and then screw in the bleed valve.

Yes, you can get it from Vortech, OR you can get it from HRC, as they both use the exact same bleed valve on their FPR's. I'm not sure who is cheaper, i think HRC is.
