40144, SFMU Trouble? Am I an idiot?

Alright, I got my vortech sfmu today. When I got home and was looking at it, my tendency to take shit apart got to me. I took off the top plate to get the the disc, and was like alright, cool. Thats easy. Then I saw 4 more screws and thought, "lets see what's under there." so i take it off, put it all back together, and decide to take a look in the instruction booklet. I open the booklet, and see a gray box that says this: "WARNING: Do not remove the four screws holding the valve body to the SFMU housing. Once taken apart, the valve will have to be replaced." So now am I screwed? Am I going to have to take this back to Summit racing, and make up some excuse to get a new one? If so, what excuse should I use? I just need to know if I screwed myself over. Thanks.

Well i have talke to Vortech directly about that, and they say what is printed in the manual. Of course, i never did take the valve body apart, so I dont know what happens when you do. I'd say put it in, and try it out, as you should know right away if it works or not. Also be sure the valve body isnt leaking fuel when you start the car up...
