40125, anyone running 30lb injectors w/ just an intank Posted by 97eclipseRS, Mar-02-03 12:42 PM
i know ryan hes asked about 30lb injectors at 5psi. i was wondering if anyone is actually running this setup at the moment. i was planning on running these injectors w/ a supra TT fuel pump and no inline... good idea? this is just at 5-8psi and using an s-fmu. BTW if anyone wants to go halves on 8 30lb injectors, lemme know.

I got them installed on Friday, and I am only running the HRC inline pump at 5 psi. Runs great....idleing at 24psi fuel pressure and 60psi fuel pressure at WOT. Now I just need to get rid of this stock exhaust and get an intercooler...

The Supra TT fuel pump should be good to run at least 8-10 psi on 30 lbers. I believe the Supra pump outflows the Walboro HP intank pump.. I calculated the rise rate to run 15 psi on the 30 lbers, and fuel pressure was around 96 psi. Kinda high up there, but hell, if you can run 120 psi of fuel on stockers, then i'd say 15 psi is just about the limit on the 30 lbers. Better yet, I think i may get some 36 lbers for the rebuild, and run 15 psi on those. I figure at 15 psi, i will need around 80 psi or so.

given that info, i know running the walbro 255 w/30lb's is good for 8-10psi, but is it totally safe, or should i still go w/ the supra TT? the walbro is obviously less expensive, and also is pretty much plug and play. i think the supra pump needs to be modified a bit. is anyone running the supra pump yet? i know avenger posted about it. i'm pretty much looking to eliminate any inline pump, along w/ lowering my fp's to sane amounts.
EDIT: Ryan, what was your final decision on the disk to use in the sfmu for your setup?
