Ok im doin my star stage2 install and the o2 sensor wont fit on the dp. Its hitting the oilpan and i think i would have to crease the pan to get it to fit anyone have any pics or have similar trouble. thanks in advance.

My downpipe fit really tight against the oil pan. It almost touched and did rub now and then on the pan. I did not have any issues like others had with the O2 sensor. I cannot see your problem from here, but you may need to take a torch and heat the downpipe to position it away from the oil pan. You may also need to plug that hole and have a new 02 sensor hole drilled and a bung inatalled.

I recently had a 10 inch long(2.5 inch) flex section installed. We heated up the downpipe and moved it .5 inches away from the oil pan so I will have no future problems. This will also help with the exhaust manifold bolts loosening or heads popping off.

You may have to pay a muffler shop dude to bring a portable(welder and gas/02 tank) where your car is and do this work. Sorry!

thanks for the quick reply. I just talked to the guy helpin me and he said we may get it done tomorrow and take it over to the guy with the evo7's house and like you said get a new bung put in. Anyone else?

Edit:Also for those with egt guage i tapped mine right after the R in star and when i put the probe in i almost touches the other side of the manifold is this ok i thought it should be in the middle

yea....i crushed the end of the o2 sensor and bent it away from the pan. it works fine for me so far. you have to put the sensor in all the way, then mark where you need to bend it away then carefully bend the end of the o2. If your worried about breaking it, then DON'T do it. :nono i told someone else about this and i think they f'ed up there sensor. im just tryin to throw up some other options.

I had the bung cut off of my dp and welded back on the other side. As far as my EGT probe location, Wyatt predilled mine for me but I believe it's on the corner by the driver side. I can't really open my hood to make sure since the whole front half of my car is crushed. :-(

what i did was cut the flange off of the dp where it meets the turbine housing..then pivot the dp down a little and it will clear..plus it frees up some space away from the oil pan..my egt is tapped between the T and A
