39148, SO CAL TURBO 2GNT Posted by jsupetran, Feb-14-03 04:55 AM
just gauging interest here but i'v look over the turbo and the concept for the install is easy but the actual putting everything is confusing!!!
so my choice right now is to pay my dads friend who install turbos for track cars or pay one of you guys to do it.
i'm thinking maybe march or april cause i still gotta buy a butt load of sfmu and all that shit. i'm kinda near the northridge, simi, area.
i'm hoping for someone who's done the hrc kit several times already. i, of couse will be on hand to assist where ever you need me and you'll be paid for you services and expertise...

Yeah there's a handful of us who've done the HRC install a couple times. Once you get all the parts, just post asking for help installing. It's not hard at all, just time consuming. The valley is a bit of a drive, but I'm sure someone will help you out.

Eric all you have seen is a Star "REinstall" HEHE
oh and jsupetran that would be $200 well spent.... Party is good.... Oh and jsupetran you have to call my lady and tell her: "Um, Jamie, this is work calling for Danny. We really need him to come in, like now, and he probibly won't be home for a couple of days! It's bad! And only HE can fix it!" Thanks.

i am thinking around april (spring break-woohoo!!!) cause i gotta buy more stuff but hell, you guys are the turbo gurus here. i'll totally work with you guys. if you want weekends, fine with me, or weekdays. all depends who has the most knowledge with turbo install and when they want to do this.
as for tools, i got jack, stands and what not. i don't know what else i need. i have a couple of hexes but its probably not enough. its my dads tools and most of it is for home stuff and not car crap.
i'm also thinking about taking a ton of pics and do like an "idiots guide to a hahn kit install..." and post it free on the web.
i'll ask for a list of requested food (pizza or burgers) later on and i can allocate always pay my mom $50 and make some quality filipino food?

Worry about getting the parts first, the food you can work out later. I can say from experience the socal guys are some of the most helpful, easy to get along with, and knowledgeable people you'll run into in this damn city. I lost track of how many times I've had a problem and suddenly theres a handful of clowns throwing wrenches and things around in my garage. ;) No, thats a good thing!
oh, and LOL at "Do you have lots of tools" ummm yeah. haha very good question.

>>>quality filipino food
chyah that's all you needed to say :9 love filipino food
yup getting all the right tools should be what you should do in the mean time. are you gonna be changing the timing belt and water pump, idle & tension pulleys as well?
|
39514, RE: SO CAL TURBO 2GNT Posted by Chamuko, Feb-19-03 08:47 PM
shiets your gonna have a small car crew there...hehe i say we bust a nascar and see who gets done with what first :thumbsup j/k man. get some Tommy's or In N out animal style burgers in there }( why dont we make this a meet?

When we're done and it is time to go home, can we hose off in the yard? I don't want to go home greesy, cause then Jay will know I wasn't at work....
|
39539, RE: SO CAL TURBO 2GNT Posted by ez, Feb-20-03 10:01 AM
yea, let Danny use the shower, and remind him to bring an extra pair of working clothes.
This sounds like a good meet idea
