39082, what is a safe size injector with the safc
Posted by widebodyeclipse, Feb-13-03 03:09 AM
hey fellas i am just doin some checkn. my installer is used to turbo dsms so i wanted to check what u thought.
im runnin a t3/t4 i think he said that the compressor wheel is like a 50 ?
anywayz the bottom is built, all is ported im running crane turbo cams, gettin their ignition, vortec fmu, not sure which disk so all help on which to use with this would be cool. gettin a warlboro 255 pump, accell inline, fmic and all the stuff like that. just wanting to make sure that i get the right ones. later on dwn the road i want to get a standalone so i hope these will work for that also. he says that we will be able to boost 18plus on the way the motor is set up. (mix race gas) i know that there are some runnin 440s in theres but i want to make sure that i have some to support future mods.
guys its almost done, hope allgoes well;-)
thanks amillion for all of your support and help over this past year.

can someone tell me where to find that weather ground hog. i wanna shoot him its still cold here :-)

550's is the largest to my knowledge on safc, thas what imma run....440s are pretty common so i think thatll do it really nice, 550s on the safc are handled pretty sloppy, i think bryden was gonna try to do 625s on his safc, but i dunno if attempted or not. hope that helps..

I would get a SFMU, so you can lower your idle FP, and run 440's, and just use the SAFC to fine tune it. with the SAFC, and big injectors, you will be leaning out SO much that you will really be screwing with your timing. if you are dead set on just using the SAFC and regualr FMU, you better get an ignition that lets you retard timing, like the MSD programmable one, or you will be rebuilding again.
