3903, STAGED upgrades after the turbo kit???

after say, a STAR stage two turbo kit, what do you guys feel is the best order of upgrades necessary to boost to say 10, then 15psi?
heres my thoughts, please add in and correct for the most efficient order.
1- add the HRC inline pump <- should i do this first?
2- new plugs and wires <- what heat range?
3- 440s and SAFC
4- internals
5- what else for 10-12 psi (ignition?)
of course a boost controller would have to be placed in here somewhere in order to boost past, what 7psi on the star wastegate right?
any other mods i should do to be safe? does the FPR need to be changed?
i keep hearing that fuel is a bigger concern than the internals (at least to 10psi that is), so if this is true, please let me know which order to upgrade the motor past the turbo kit so that i dont blow like $500 on a mod i dont need until im running 20psi and end up throwing away money i could have used on a mod i REALLY need just to hit 10psi.

I would definitely go this order 1st:

1.Plugs wires
2.Injectors(440cc are good as you mentioned and needed for 10psi of reliability daily) and AFC to lean it down a little
3.HRC pump
4.Internals
5.Ignition Amp(with retard ability)
6.Turn up the boost and adjust with AFC as far as possible with whatever retard is needed.
7.HRC fuel system or ITC
8.More boost and timing retard.

This is exactly the order I would go. Here are my reasons:
Well plugs and wires are obvious and go 1 range colder('cause you're turbo!) then some injectors so you can run 10 psi without fuel problems. When your block can handle real power(ya know upgraded internals) then get an ignition amp for superior spark and to retard timing(which will definitely be needed). After you've mastered that all then drop some more pressure like 15psi and retard timing as necessary and so on...
..more boost and more retard. Soon you'll approach the Law of diminishing return: where your retarding will be more power loss than the boost you're running. At the track though with real octane (like 103+) you'll be able to run probably max power. In our cars on the street, soon you will see you need 9:1 pistons some boost retard and maybe get away with 20psi(450HP?!?!?) daily(probably too much power for FWD and severe traction problems).

Oh and somewhere in there an LSD!! Power is useless if not properly put to the ground

Anyway this I feel is the best order.

I definently agree with skrill, get plugs and wires 1st. Put the kit on 1st, test it, then put on the p & w's and test it again. Should feel the difference. talked to mista hahn about injectors and he said to not buy 370's if i was only running 10 lbs of boost. Our stk injectors will be adequate at 10lbs. Think about bigger injectors when you want more than 10lbs of boost and pick up some pistons, rods and rings while your at the store. S-afc is good too. Buy one used for 275-300. good component to buy used. Be careful if you buy a used profec b. Have a little motor that can wear out. I guess it usually takes 2 years but nevetheless, ask how long it was in use. Also make sure the previous owners didnt hack up the wires. It will make for a more expensive part than you bargained for in addition to the $30 wiring harness that you will need to buy. Thats my $0.02

Get 7 range (NKG or range 22 Denso iridium) first and wires if you have stock. If you plan on an AFC with 440 injectors get an adjustable regulator (SuperFMU instead of reg FMU ect) and dont worry about a fuel pump upgrade. The Walbro can supply more than enough fuel with 440cc injectors. Internals or fuel system first? Hmmm I think I'd do the fuel system first just because its the least invasive, cheapest and has the least down time (or do it first and get it out of the way). Ignition would be a good accesory but to run 10-15lbs of boost you wont need anything more than colder plugs,AFC, injectors, adj regulator and internals with a stage II. You'll need a fuel pressure gauge (and the other guages you know aready) and you will have to lower fuel pressure (which is why you can keep the Walbro pump). To run NO MORE THAN 10psi I'd do the fuel system and see how long the internals last before going their (unless you want big power now).

Well what I have done:

Bought the HRC 2 kit.(5psi)
Changed plugs(7psi)
added BOV(7psi, major improvement on lag)
Bought A/F guage(7psi)
bought turbo wrap (7psi, little less turbo lag)
changed all block internals (pistons, rods, Rings)(up'd to 10psi)
Put on new exhaust (10psi)
Getting ready to buy EGT, S-AFC, possibly HRC new fuel system computer. (hopefully 15psi after with the help of some new injectors)

**maybe not the best way, but it worked for me**

May I ask you what BOV you added? (I'm guessing instead of the 3000gt BOV)

Did it require a new flange to be welded on and such?

I don't notice any irritating turbo lag, but I can sure imagine that a 3000gtBOV with it's unimpressive design could have a small amount of boost leak. Again, this is just speculation, but I could see it with the relatively plain construction quality. (I can't tell if it's plastic or metal)
