38483, Oil spray....

I was on my way to work and decided to play around with an Accord a lil bit on the highway. Doing about 90 I dropped it into 4th to just totally lose him and everything seemed ok. When I stopped a little way down the road for gas though the exhaust "seems" to have a little bit of a funny lope to it. So I checked under the hood and first thing I noticed was a spray of oil all over the area by the breather filter. Is this something to be worried about? I just topped off the oil this morning and filled it up right to the max line. Did I just get some major blow-by on that downshift or would it be from something else? Looking at the tach RPM's are good at idle, not fluctuating at all and it sounds and runs fine except for that weird sounding exhaust note at idle. Anybody have any ideas? TIA

i assume you are turbo, when your car is on, at idle, pull the dipstick out put your hand over the dipstick tube and feel if there is any air or small puffs smoke coming out of the tube. if so, then you are the new owner of a cracked piston or two. if there is not any significant air pulsing out then you may have just had your crankcase pressurized by boost and blow oil out of the breather.

Oh well....:(:(:( Going by what you told me, when I pulled the dipstick out, I didn;t have any small puffs of smoke, I have a fucking smokestack going...so I guess I am now the next rebuild candidate...:( How long will it hold out do you think? The problem I have is that I am about 300 miles from home right now, is there anyway to limp it home at the end of the week or would that be risking it to much? Oh and yes I am boosting...HRC Stage 2 running about 6 PSI.... Guess I'll try and find a way to do a compression check tomorrow and see how many I fried..... I'm not getting any smoke out of the exhaust though and it still idles fine once it warms up, dunno guess I don;t what it;s supposed to do since this is the first time I have blown a piston....:(
