38362, ARP head stud kit - quick question Posted by RyaN95i4, Jan-31-03 08:47 AM
question about the arp head stud kit...on the main page, it says you need 20 nuts and 24 washers...
10 of those nuts and 10 of those washers are just for the bottom end bolts listed right? not needed for just swapping the head onto a new block
what are the botton end bolts that list is reffering too?
referring to http://www.2gnt.com/www/files/arpstuds.htm
edit-- oh yea, is that 71ft-lbs correct? and is the sequence used the same as stock?
thanks guys

Check out these threads..... I installed some ARP bolts recently. The six center studs were a little short even with my head milled down 0.020". The washers and bolts went on fine, but the top of the studs did not sit flush with the top of the nut. Everything is torqued to 71 ft/lbs and has held up fine. ARP will have a kit for our cars soon, like in one month. This kit will fit perfectly.

I have the kit that fits better ;)
ARD has the part number for the studs that are slightly longer, thats why i ordered from them instead of directly thru arp.
thanks for the link btw :thumbsup
