i was told by a guy that i met at a dsm meeting to come here to get the information that i need. i'm in that middle of doing a custom tubo kit very thing is installed into the car with the exception of the vortech fmu. the problem is that i'm not exactly sure how to go about installing this into the car. i have the mid 96 and up fuel system, i also realize that the schrader valve at the end of the rail needs to be removed, and a line needs to be run from that end of rail to the fmu. this is the part that i am puzzled with. 1) am i supposed to under the hood or back where stock one is 2) how in the world am i supposed to get the fuel back to the tank. 3)i'm still not sure where the stock fpr is. i need to know how to install this thing. also pictures would be greatly appreciated.

that's a "high res" picture, you know the drill.

2. to get the fuel back to the tank you need to run a return line. it's not too tough, you just need to get some aluminum or copper tubing. run the return line under the car by the rest of the fuel/brake lines, they're really easy to spot on the passanger's side.

3. the stock FPR on the 96+ cars is in back, attached to the fuel filter by a banjo bolt. you're not going to need it anymore, you will want to remove it when you change your fuel filter. i have a picture of some of the stuff that goes with the hahn kit, dunno if it helps.

Thanks for the quick response. now okay that answers the question as to where to mount it. couple questions though. in the second pic, i can see the fuel filter. and from what i can understand factory fuel pressure regulator goes between that and the other threaded fitting in the picture. the question is: what is that grey line in the picture coming from the bottom.

also in the last pic that looks more like a pic on how to install your fuel pump not the running the return line. please correct me if i misinterpreted any part of the reply.

yeah, the pictures are kind of drunken. the fuel return line is the big silver dongle thingy or whatnot right in the middle, it's sticking up in the little area near where the fuel filter goes. the other end of the line ends near the front right crossmember, a few inches after the plastic line holder thingy ends. it's easy to spot if you peek your head under the side of your car about 2 or 3 feet behind the front right wheel.

in the picture with all of the hoses outside of the car, ignore all of them. i was just fitting things. but, i do have a diagram of how i think all of the hoses run. this is a basic schematic of the HRC fuel system: (a | means fuel line, a U means a metal hose. the forum software wouldn't let me instert blakn space, so i have attached the following image of my pitiful attempt of ascii art)



*for the stock sender thing you're going to need to push the stupid nut thingy back as far as possible so you can shimmy a fuel line onto it in order to have enough room for clamps

anyways, home the diagram isn't too drunken. good luck with your fuel system.
