I need advise on turbo. Ive been doing my research and going through different ideas in my head. I was looking at HRC Stage 2 right now but I also have my engine out and want to proceed with rebuild and add some engine internals... Well the Stage 3 kit looked like it came with everything needed. So I called hahn and talked with them and they said well they arent selling the stage 3 because of problems they were having with the fuel system (or somthing like that). But I could get somthing like a Stage 2.5 ... So after talking with some friends I decided that if Im going to go to the bank I mine as well get a loan out for more and go with Stage 4 instead. Well then a friend said "Stage 5 is only 500 more." So heres the problem... The horsepower bug has gotten me but I need your guys advise.... I know I well have to be buying a differential and a new clutch....What else is really needed. Can I boost at like 10-15 and then crank it up on the weekends just fine without problems occuring with the engine... Am I an idiot and should just forget the whole idea?

I personally dont think it would be good idea to jump right into a stage 4 or 5 turbo setup off the bat. In order to run that kind of boost pressure, you will need to tune and be prepared to buy additional parts, esp things like upgraded axles and the like. I would start off with the stage 2 setup, and work your way up once you get used to running and tuning that setup. Then figure out what you will need to upgrade and purchase to run 20+ psi for stage 5. Its just not that simple as getting the stage 5 kit and running it. Just ask the very few guys on here that run those boost levels. It takes a lot of time and money to make it happen, but mostly experience with the turbo on the car and running it. Thats why i'll say stick with a stage 2 for now.

I agree with what Matt ^^^ said, although if you have the money and the motor is already out, you could jsut rebuild it now for more power in the future. Really you should forget the "Stage 1-5" crap because it really doesnt mean a whole lot. You could have all the components of a stage 5 setup and boost stage 2 levels, or you could easily obtain stage 5 boost levels using completely different components. Basically, what I would do if I were you would be to purchase hahn's stage 2 kit and a rebuild kit to go with it if you can afford that. That way, you will have the strength in the bottom end to upgrade later, and you will gain the knowledge of a turbosystem without being in real danger of breaking things.
