Has anyone ever noticed the tranny shifting better and smoother when you first start driving it, then after several miles it does not seem to want to shift and when it does it ingages and disingages a few times before the shift stays? If so did you get a tranny cooler? or some other way to correct it. Also if you did get a tranny cooler or know of one that we can use, please give me all the info you have. Thanks!

I'm not sure about that...but I do have a tranny cooler installed. I noticed that after putting on the tranny cooler, the shifts are a 'bit' harder (but that too much to really notice). Now I don't know...

The characterisitics you describe are not normal. I recommend that you try resetting the ECM via disconnecting the battery to see if the transmission's adaptive memory is involved. If the shift behavior does not improve, or if the symptoms return after a few days, then try these people:

I will see what I can find out. I just thought I remembered some time ago someone saying that if a FMIC is used that an tranny fluid cooler would be a must. I must have been wrong. :( Oh well I hope it is connection or something less expensive than the $6,000 my tranny is going to cost from level ten. I was hoping to get to the shoot out and peel a few good times. :) now I will have to see what tranny I could use to do it. :) any doners?

You were right MWC. It was Corbin who actually said that you will need a aux tranny cooler if you have a turbo/FMIC, since the turbo would be generating more heat in the engine bay, the stock cooler would be affected. As well, with the FMIC in the way of the radiator, it would considerably decrease the effectiveness of the stock cooler.

That's why you will need an auxillary cooler if you value your auto tranny! :)

Mine sorta feels like this and it's still n/a. I took it to a tranny shop right after i bought it (still under warranty at the time) and they said it's nothing wrong with the tranny, not like i'm losing a gear or anythign like that, they though it might be something just needs changed (like MAYBE tranny fluid) and fuel filter or something. Basically, they said something isn't as clean as it should be on the engine, and that could cause the hesitation.
