37655, fuel setup for turbo
Posted by stoyboycs, Jan-20-03 03:15 PM
Ok I have read that alot of people have an accel inline fuel pump and that their turbo system works fine and then some upgrade the intank pump to a walbro. So my question is for low boost around 5-7 psi do I need an accel?

Can I get by without one or what other types of inline pumps work?

Then is there anything other than a FMU that I need for the fuel system?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

For 5-7 psi, a Walboro would probably be sufficient, but I will always suggest a high pressure/volume inline pump like the Accel. You really dont want to run out of fuel. I have heard that the Walboro will max out around 100 psi of fuel pressure. Running stock injecors, this will be VERY close to it's limits at 8 psi. I will say if you want to run any more than 5 psi, get an inline. Assuming you are using stock injectors.

ok so a walbro will work fine for 5-7 psi and yes will be using stock injectors for right now. Ok so is there anything else I need beside the walbro, FMU, and the parts for those <---.:wary
