Okay, can I use the SMIC intercooler from a GST/GSX on my car with modification? If so what needs to be modified? I'm guessing brackets but I wanna hear it from you guys.

they will both work, but most people use the 1g smic because the core is thicker.

I'm with spicyMitsu, the way the 2nd gen SMIC has it's in\out piping is more of a pain in the ass. You're gonna have to mount it on the passenger side. Not only the piping is a pain, but the 2G SMIC is smaller, flows less, and has the tendency to heat soak a lot. Get the 1G!!!!!!!

Well, you'll be putting it on the other side so pretty much everything to mount it will have to be fabbed. I think the bends coming off the intercooler will work just fine from a second gen sidemount.
