i am hoping that someone can help me out...i just got done w/ my turbo install, we put on a star stage 2, fully built the engine and i got all the supporting mods...well i bought everything new for my car accept my Msd Dis 2 programmable..i found this from a guy online in colorado for 300 shipped w/ a dual tach adapter..not to bad of a deal so i jumped..i really wanted something to crank up the boost, after all why not right, spent all that money might as well enjoy it...well my break in is coming to a point where its almost done and my egts are staying prettty high at high speed(75-80+ in 4th and 5th gear) so i figure its time to datalog and hook up the msd b/c i must be getting a lot of advance..well we get the msd hooked up and the thing doesn't spark at all...i wiggle the wires around on the harness and see a spark jump..there is a short in the box at the base of the wires..impossible to get too and fix...so i email the guy and say what the hell and he says it worked fine for him, i must have f'd something up..i wired it in directly the way it says on the manual, pretty straight forward....i asked him for the reciept for warranty work and ti was purchased on 8-10-01, i'm 4 months out of warranty...so i'm screwed, i have a 400 dollar box that looks pretty but does crap..i was wondering if there is a 2gnt brother that would help me out by providing me a reciept to use as proof of purchase so i can get this repaired and turn up my boost....i would be eternally thankful and maybe when i get my big comission check next month there could be some monitary thanks coming their way...i am at the mercy of you guys, can someone plz help me out..i got dicked and i just want to get this thing working... i would appreciate it...email me at Kandkorn007@hotmail.com or pm me here...thanks guys

double check your connections one more time and me sure you get good ground and power, i have mine connected to the battery, you'll know it's on when you see the red light go on. if i remember correctly i read in the intructions that if there's a problem within the amp that the light suppose blink.

connects are good man..no newbies here..we solder everything...ok i'll tell you how its connected...heavy red goes directly to the battery, smaller red goes to the ecu 12v that would be going to the coil(center wire black w/ red stripe), trigger one and two go into my dual tach adapter(green and white) the wires coming from the adapter go the the dis 2 harness (out from adapter is brown w/ green and white stripes and hook into the green and white in the dis2) black is grounded in both instances, i have both red wires(dis 2 small red and tach adapter red) hooked up the the switched from the ecu to coil..i know this diagram by heart b/c i've done it twice now..everything is hooked up right...i don't know whats wrong, when we try to start the car the thing made a spark where the wires go into the dis2...i toiuched the dis 2 and got shocked pretty good ..theres got to be a short in it..i called msd today and they said anywhere from 15-55 to fix it plus shipping there and back...blows hardcore..for the price i paid for this i coiudl have just bought a new one..should have bought a new one...if anyone can come up w/ a reciept i would appreciate it so i can get this thing fixed..i want to run some more boost..help me out guys..thanks..
