well to start off yesterday my fuel trims got max out when i was driving for no reason, but now its ok. but today i just was warming up my car for 30-45mins and adjusting my static and idle fuel pressure on my s-fmu, and when i decided to tighten my static nut, and my freakin coolant tank was boilin like no tommorow and it was hot, so i ran to my car to look at the gauge and it was in the red, so i shut it down. after 1 min i open the radiator cap a little to vent some of the hot air out. so after some time i just put some water inside. and now it runs fine. but just wondering what might have caused this? tuning the super-fmu? and anything you guys think might be broken now?

thanks armond. i was thinking along those lines, i was also thinking the cap might be bad. i only got 44k miles, but yah. so far so good today no overheating, if it was one of those you said armond it should happen again right?

Well I don't know if you know what detanation sounds like but you would have heard that. Lean conditions could be a problem, but it shouldn't create that unless you went REALLY lean at idle. I would look more to the HG or the thermostat. They can get a little flakey when they are going bad, it's not always works or doesnt work with those things. It should do it again though if it's either of those things.
