36464, Pricing/Confused...

I'm confused. What a suprise :rolleyes haha Ok.... Im shopping around for turbo kits. Ive been wanting the Hahn stage 2 kit for a while now, and Im finally near purchasing one. I drool all over his site almost daily haha. So im searching around and I see Howell Automotive. So I go to the site and check it out. And whadda know, they sell Hahn kits. Im lookin at the price, and notice its not the same. They sell the Hahn kits for a little bit cheaper. Which of course is cooler because Ill be able to spend the difference towards more parts (gauges, or electronics) for the kit. So now my questions are..... If I order from Howell, will I get the exact same thing as if I was ordering from Hahn? Why is it cheaper from Howell? And MOST important.... If I order from howell, will I still get the same customer service support? Will I have to call Howell for problems/questions or could I call Hahn for problems/questions? Basically... if I had the choice of saving a few hundred bucks or to have great customer service when I need it, Id rather have great customer service. But of course If I could save some money ordering through Howell, and still call Hahn (without getting pounded in case I didnt order from them haha), that would be great.

Thanks, Brad

From what i have read and not to quote me on it. That they some times mix stuff up and get a little delayed. But in the end they have always come throw. This is what i have read. So i have not had to deal or talk to them yet. So for the frist person prospective i can't help.

YES

Hahn from what I understand would rather you buy from one of their distributors. As far as customer support you will still be able to talk to Hahn's Tech support and get the same great service.

When I ordered mine I ordered it through Howell, They got me my kit in the time they said they would, BUT when I ordered it I told them I have a 96, they sent me the fuel system for a 95. When I called I spent about 30 mins with Gary on the phone and him trying to convince me that I have aan early model fuel system. Finally I had to tell him to call Hahn and get his facts staright. When I called back later that day he did tell me I was correct and to ship the fuel system I got back so they could ship me the right one. Now thinking that since it was their screw up, they should pay for shipping I asked for a return charge number, and he informed me that I had to pay to ship it back. WTF??? So I shelled out 20 bucks to ship it back and 2 weeks later what did I get in the mail? ANOTHER early fuel system kit. Being pissed I decided to skip Howell this time and contacted Hahn directly. I got the situation straight and once again had to pay shipping to return the wrong fuel system. So what do I get 2 weeks later...the right fuel system, shipped COD...WTF???? Is it worth it to go through Howell, I guess just to save a couple hundred bucks, but then again, they set me back over a month on install time just trying to get the parts I should have had in the first place. So it's up to you.....just wanted to let you know the BS I had to put up with. But overall, I guess if you ask am I happy with what I got....then I can only say YES! But I don;t know if I ever will do business with Howell again.

Thru connections I had once with an "aquaintance" I was aware that the profit margin for the HRC stage 2 kits was $600. So you can't really expect too much differnce from one place and another. There aren't many places to begin with anyways. But I bought mine thru a dealer and it took 2 months, no discount. So my advice spend the extra cake and get it thru HRC directly. Save yourself at least one headache before you go turbo.
