Last nite my service engine light came on.last time this happend i check everything and filled it up with oil becuase it was running low.it reset itself and was fine. well this time the oil was ok but i filled it up with about a quart then reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for about 15 min. the serivce engine light was off and all is well till im driving and pop it comes back on. i just got a test pipe put on the day before. Could this be a problem?

What year/model car is yours? On the early 2gnts 95-96(or 97? not sure about 97) you can do a keydance(on-off-on-off-on) and get the CEL code.

If you put on a test pipe, that is definately your problem. There is a 2nd o2 sensor after the cat that detects emmissions and will throw a code if there is no cat. If you want to get rid of that CEL, check out this mod: http://www2.cesa12.k12.wi.us/brent/personal/neon/pic/cat_resistor.html
