i have an autometer lunar series boost gauge where do i tap into for the nylon tube to sense the boost.
or do i drill a hole in the intake mani.

u can tap into any of the vacuum lines on the intake manifold, like so....

Here is how I installed my boost gauge.

The other pictures posted below is my setup for the Vacuum lines. I replaced the EGR hard plastic line with a rubber vacuum hose. I also attached the nylon line for the boost gauge using a brass union instead of HRC's way of compressing the brass compression fitting and then sticking the nylon tube into a rubber hose (the compressed fitting is supposed to keep the nylon tube from coming out of the vacuum hose under boost). HRC's design didn't seem to be very well thought out and the brass union definitely is more reliable - won't allow a boost spike. My design works nicely since the boost guage already comes with a compression fitting on one side and NPT threads on the other. Here's a quick diagram (sizes are approximate, I don't remember the exact sizes I used):


1/4" Hose Barb to 1/4" Male NPT --> 1/4" Female NPT Union --> 1/4" Male Compression Fitting (supplied with Autometer Boost Gauge)

the vac line is coming off the intake manifold. not sure where it goes to but it doesnt matter, because it works.i posted the pic so you can se the same exact vac line on your car in the same position, and use that line if u wish.

did the tee come with the boost gague or did you go out and buy it. because i don't see one in my box. if you bought it what size and stuff.

i got the tee at pep boys. i dont know the exact sizes, but just bring the pieces that came with the boost gauge with you to pep boys and see what fits.

It really makes next to no difference where you tap in for the boost gauge on these cars. The signal, due to the real lack of long line runs, is strong pretty much anywhere. I only have three lines: one for my EGR actuator, one for my FMU and boost gauge, and a third for my stock FPR and BOV. It doesn't matter where you tap it (they all run to the plenum) just as long as it's getting a pressure signal, you're fine..
