36294, Turbo install help Posted by run4cvr, Dec-20-02 10:04 AM
I am finally installing my HRC kit. I bought it used this summer and finally have the time to install it. I am sure i am going to need some questions answered. The one thing i need first is the HRC instructions. I have almost all the pages, and i have no clue where the rest went. I am doing all of the mechanical stuff tonight and tomorrow, and i will attempt the gauges and the tuning for sunday. So post here if you dont mind getting bombarded with questions on here or aol. Thanks everyone!

I need some help guys so i am stopping for the night. I took some pics of the things i need help with. (might have to copy/paste these)
#1 Will this bulkhead work on the oil pan? I snagged it from a Nova fuel cell.

#2 Here is a pic of my manifold & EGT probe. Problem is, big threaded hole in manifold, and the probe looks like it is missing a piece. Whats missing?

#3 And finally WTF is this?

All help is appreciated.

Alright bro Here are a few pics to help ya out. Now I have a custom setup but you should get teh idea from these pics.
Fitting for the back of the block... all assembled you can see it is one "T" one nipple, the oil sending unit and the end that feeds the oil line.

Here it is at the back of the block.

Here ya go about the oil dump stuff...I think you will get the idea about them.

Here is another look at what the oil feed should look like...

Just keep in mind my setup is custom. But the pricipals are the same.
I really could not tell you about the black box. But your proboly right about not having all the stuff for your EGT gauge. Hope these pics help.
O yea look for optimus peterson he has the hrc and starr instructions avaliable for download.
RxR Out.

Custom made the bulkhead for the oil pan & the EGT probe. I just finished wiring the the inline fuel pump and the relay. Next is installing the manifold/turbo and the piping! I am going to need some hlp later on the gauges... Looks like the guy who i bought it from just cut all the wires.

Good luck. Check the pics that Kris (RobotechDSM) posted from my site. They should help with most questions you may have.

Almost there! Fuel system is next. I bought the Vortech SFMU and the missing link just trying to figure out how it all hooks up now. Then i will attemp installing all of the gauges. Boost, A/F, EGT, Fuel pressure, and oil pressure. All the gauges and wiring was just thrown together in a bag, i have most of it sorted but i still need to know what this thing is...
