Have any of you turbo guys have had engine ping? If so how do you get rid of the problem? I'm boosting full stage 2 boost 7-8 psi also what will octane bost do to my engine if I have stock internals or can I put race gas in. My carptech or crap tech sucks ass I'll be boosting and then let off and my air/fuel ratio gauge disappers in the lean is this normal? I know at regular speeds or just driving normally it goes back and forth and at WOT its rich.
Also what is the cheapest price for a greddy type s bov?

If its detonation you are talking about, the ball bearing-in-a-can rattling sound, then thats bad. Very bad. Esp on stock, cast pistons. I found out, as many other turboed guys, that out stock pistons really dont like knock. After so much of it, they just break down and say fuck you, and break the ring lands..:) You need to run at least 91 octane fuel, minimum. I only run 93 octane, we are the lucky ones over hear that have it. You may need to richen up your fuel mixture for boost. Sounds like you are running too lean at WOT. How are your EGT's, and A/F numbers at WOT?? I dont trust the blinky light A/F gauge...try using a voltmeter at WOT to see your voltages. EGT's at 8 psi should not really go over 1500 to be safe.
