curious cause im thinking of picking one up... it must sound better at higher psi...

yes, it is loud..ive had it from anywhere from 3psi to 12psi on my car, its loud at either extreme, obivuosly has a more forceful noise at higher psi tho

i didn't really find it that loud. it was loud but not bad. ask powereclipse, he just came across that some setup recently, see how he likes it.

Im trying to get my hands on one - Ill let you know how it sounds with 5psi. It attaches to the HRC piping with ease right?

^^^Yes, all the turboXS BOV's will slip right onto the HRC intercooler piping with ease. It is as simple as tightening just 3 small screws......

I'm not sure about the RFL...

But the HKS SSqV IS loud at 20 PSI When you have a ford F250 FMIC! :-)

It is loud, but it doesn't really sound good. It is just that rushing air sound.. It sounds exactly like a louder version of the 3000GT BOV.

I think the Type-S sounds MUCH better, and can be just as loud at higher boost.

the RFL is pretty loud, but i definately think that there are better sounding BOV's out there. i had it with stage 1 for a long time and it was pretty loud, then when i went to stage 2 it was slightly louder, but having a deeper pitch. it sounded a lot cooler.

i have the rfl on the star piping...i personally love the sound..i can't get enough of it..scaring old people and people walking on the side of the road is awsome...i had to add a few washers to it, i'm only running 5 psi and it sounds nice...my buddy has the ssbov and it has a really high pitched sound, sounds kind of cool..it flutters at low boost but mine does if i dont stay on it when i shift..i'd recommend the rfl, its good to 30 psi too, not to bad

It's loud @ 18psi

heh, i can't wait to find out... maybe this spring i'll be boosting around 18 after i get my shortblock and some other goodies. some people say the turbo makes crazy noizes at high boost levels like 15-18 psi where the 16g works best, would be cool to hear. anyways, i'm done now.

To tell you the truth, i dont think its THAT loud... its comparable i think to a greddy i heard of a 4g, but yeah i def like it alot, it sounds pretty sweet i love scaring the shit out of people when your in the city and you spool your turbo ;) so much fun
