I think my wastegate is shut closed because whenever I turn my boost controller up it stays at 6 and wont go up anymore. could this be the wastegate or the boostcontroller? I took of the nut on top of the wastegate and the threading on the screw was stripped could this be the problem? Which way is open if the nipple is screwed all the way out or in? Oh yea this is on a delta wastegate.

The way I understand boost controllers is that it keeps the wastegate close, until the desired setting on the controller is reached. If you're not going any higher than 6 psi, then probably it's the boost controller. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, sorry I couldn't be of more help. I don't have a boost controller yet.

Oh yeah, correct me if I'm wrong about this too, but if the wastegate don't open at all and if you have no boost controller, the turbo will just churn up to whatever psi it was designed to handle.

The wastegate can stick in one of a many variable positions. if it was stuck you would get a stuck amount of boost no matter what you did. MOST of the time they end up sticking closed, which is very bad because you will overboost almost instantly and can result in blowing your engine if not caught RIGHT away.

Your boost controller is to blame for the inability to go over 6 PSI. Maybe you need to buy a new one :-)

damm blitz boost controller i bought that peice of shiznites for 4 bills. Im prolly just gonna get a mbc from turbo xs or something thanks for the info guys.
