3585, screw 550's..i just got word on something new

Well as you all know..i acctualy had 550cc's in my car(just got done w/ the rebuild bout 3 weeks ago) and found out they were low impedence injectors..whereas our cars need saturated (high impendence) injectors..so they had to send those back ,and then Rc told the shop that they didnt make a saturated 550cc injector..so i was down..but then i heard that hrc just came out with a 625 cc that apparntly works w/ just a super afc (according to my shop) so those bad boys are going in on wendesday..and ill also take he to the dyno either friday or saturday. Just wanted to update you guys. By the way, anyones else whos blown their motor..had it rebuilt..feel like its way faster on the same psi as before? I havnt lost yet since i got it back (On 5psi to be safe) then again, im cautiuos about what I race. Ive surprized a few mildly modified 2g gst/x's a sprayin vr6 and a rustang gt.

According to what everyone here has been saying, even 550's are a bit too big for the S-AFC, so I dunno how you're going to run 625cc's.

does RC make high impendence 440'cc injectors? i dont really want 625's... thats too much for my application...

Yes, RCEng has 440cc saturated injectors. Those are the injectors most of the people here are using.

from what i know about hahns 625cc injectors, you need to have their accel DFI to run them. They are still peak and hold injectors meant for a 4g63. They can run on a 4g63 with just the use of a S-AFC from what i understand. I had asked about their whole fuel system for the stage V setup, and they said it would run about 1500 for everything. But i do not believe that the 625's will run off our ECU and just an AFC.

...but the AFC will not be able to control the extra fuel. So even at 50% fuel cut you will still squirt 310 worth of gas. At idle you will be sloppy and rich, as well as fail emissions until your boost is built but that obviously takes several thousand rpms. You need a stand alone for anything over 550cc(as a matter of fact even the 550 will need it). But you can just pop in the stocks for the emissions and run rich as hell on the 620 with bad gas mileage

3591, the boost question
Posted by rsXboy99, Apr-10-01 12:32 AM
How much boost can i run in street trim on 93 octane w/ 625 injectors? I would like to be able to boost about 20psi on the streets..but is that possible w/ 625's? Or maybe like 25psi on race gas (they sell turbo blue at the pump by my house) But regardless ill scan the dyno chart when i get it here in the next week
