Hey i see that the harness is short how did you guys do to connect it to the ecu in front of the car, without having to mak ethe cable longer and still gettting the options of taking the safc out at nights ? ???

Guys with Safc do you guys take out your SAFC at nigh so no one will steal them, here in FL with have lots of haters so i need to take it off.

when installing the SAFC did you guys sodered on ecu or did you guys tapped into it and put tape on it?

Depending on where you mount the SAFC, you may or may not have to extend the wires. I have mine sitting by the vents in my center console and I didn't need to make the wires longer.

I would definitely recommend soldering the connections. You really don't want a wire to come loose and mess with your fuel settings, especially while boosting!!

Use Category 5 ethernet cable to extend your connections, and DO SOLDER! I ran 9 feet of it tucked neatly away behind the ECU, so if i ever want to reposition my AFC, i'm free

Also anyone here using the Corbing fool the SAFC. if so how much more better is it that not using it ?? can someone explain to me becuase i really did not understand in his site , too tech hehe lolz

Yes, technically I could. My SAFC is mounted on the bracket it came with and the bracket is pushed into a slit on my center console. I could just pull the bracket out and unclip the wires at the plug that is under the dash.

hey boostedgs where do you have it installed the the ecu on front of car???. because man my harness is only 3 feet so it is not even long enough to get it through firewall.

I'm guessing you didn't buy this SAFC new then, because it sounds like you're missing a piece. You should have about 3 feet of wire coming from the SAFC itself with a plug on the end. Then you should have another piece of wire about 6 feet long that has a plug on one end, and open wires on the other end. The open wires are to be tapped into the ECU wires. If you don't have that 6 foot length of wire, you'll definitely have to extend the wires!

I have the corbin SAFC boost mod. I could not think of using the AFC in a boosted car without it!!!!!

I too would like more info on Corbins mod. I understand it uses a sensor to fool the ecu. Instead of advance timing and knock it tunes on boost? Correct me and please explain also the basics. I want a s-AFC but wouldn't do it till I knew 100% this mod. TIA.
