Works like a charm!...I got the new one that has a big knob for adjustment. It looks and feels sturdy and came with some fuel line and zip ties to hook it up with. I don't boost high but even at low boost this thing kicks ass. Before at about 1/2 throttle I'd boost to 4lbs and would hafta slowly increase the throttle to keep the boost at that same level. Now I get up to the desired boost and it stays rock steady. Even spool up time is increased esp in 5th gear. The wastegate I guess is a real unreliable and finicky when used as a primary way to control boost. I would highly recommend it to people that even don't boost alot (stage I) cuz it does make a difference

A friend of mine just bought the new Joe P as well and he's very pleased. He's a 4g63 so he's running higher boost (15psi) with no spikes.
Just an FYI though......your wastegate it still regulating your boost pressure. All a boost controller does is let you increase the boost pressure above the wastegates limit.

boost controllers help to control spikes, even if they are installed at the set wastegate set psi. I think ball/spring are the best manual you can get. Bleeds can tend to spike a bit, but help spoolup a bit more. A combo of ball/spring and bleed works really well for external wastegate cars.
from previous posts and my own 4g63 friends, most bleed type boost controllers tend to spike with internal wastegates. The long arm on the wastegate actuator might not be as sensative as the external ones. Who knows. Electronic boost controllers work VERY well for internal wastegate cars.
