35602, MSD = better gas mileage?
Posted by Semperboost, Dec-06-02 02:21 PM
I'm planning on getting some 30lb injectors/ 8:1 disk and a MSD or Crane Ignition. Anybody with an aftermarket ignition system notice an increase in gas mileage. Which should I shoot for first -ignition or injectors? thanks

I've had my Crane ignition on for about seven months and I haven't really noticed any difference in gas mileage. For the most part, my bad fuel mileage is as a result of the larger fuel injectors. I did notice a smoother idle and power curve (visible on dyno sheets) from the ignition.

ditto - MSD gave smoother power but never paid attention to mpg so dunno. Go with injectors first.
