Today I finnaly got my car on the street. I think the turbo is working because everytime I change gears the wheels chirp but how do you know if you BOV is working??? also there is some hesitation on 3rd gear is that normal? Thanx.

You should be able to hear the BOV when you let off on the gas....did you put the vacume line to the intake plentum?
Hmm good example is my BOV goes off all the time...even when I am just trucking around town...not really pushing it. It is really loud when I am on it and I shift or just let off on the gas.
I too have a slight hesitation in third gear. But then it really kicks in and pulls hard!

O yea...you can tell if your turbo is working if your boost gauge is hooked up properly and it shows boost not vacume...a N/A car will never go over -10 hg...if your car is not going into some positive #'s then it is not working.
Also if you don't have a boost gauge GET ONE!

An NA car will go to 0 vac not -10hg. If you floor it that's where you'll be.

and you would hear your bov.. but looking at your pick I see that your bov vacuum line is going toward the front fo the car!??? what do you have it hooked up to?

Is your car a stick or automatic? If it's a stick, you should hear the BOV every time you shift. With an automatic, it shifts so quickly that it's harder to hear it.

But ^^they are all correct, your boost gauge is the best way to tell if your turbosystem is working correctly.

If you let off the gas and the boost guage goes to vac quickly then your bov works.... turn down your radio and you'll hear it.

If you have to wonder if the turbo is working, then there is a problem somewhere. You should hear it, and most importantly, FEEL it. There should really be no question as to if its working...its either boosting, or its not...car is like NA, or its faster with boost :) Do like mentioned, check your boost gauge, and check all vac lines and fittings, and whatnot...the car should pull..well more than it did without the turbo anyway...
