35309, For those with a Profec-B....Can some1 Xplain the balance?! Posted by XXConvict, Dec-01-02 08:57 AM I have my balance set at about half way. I've had it set up like that since i put it in. I read the directions but they dont really tell me a lot. I know it has something to due when the wastgate opens. But if i set it to high will the turbo kick in sooner? please explain.... | |

If you have no problem holding steady boost and don't overboost, then you leave it in the middle. You may be able to get slightly better performance by tweeking the balance knob some. I believe the balance is like a sensitivity adjustment. Probably adjusts how quickly the Profec adjusts to changes in manifold pressure. I'm guessing the "mild" slows and smoothes solenoid operation and "sharp" makes the solenoid operate more aggressively. | |
