It's an intercooler off of a Volvo wagon. Monster core, like the size of a radiator. Haha it looked like those intercooler for a bus or a truck! It has 2.5" inlet/outlet too a nice piece of metal. I found it at a pick n pull I was looking at a volvo (my favorite for getting turbo goodies) and noticed hmm the turbo is gone. Then I look at the intercooler and BAM there it is, all I have to do is take off two easy to remove brackets and lift the intercooler out of it easiest intercooler I've ever taken out :) It's in perfect condition too because it's pretty well buried in the grill.

Here I decided to get a little creative and put some stuff I had in my garage together to see what the intercooler would look like.

Haha I bet if you cut this thing in half and put endtanks on it and paint it aluminum colored, it'll make 2 dope ass FMICs!

haha I know I used to have a stage 1, I'd always be worried about the temp of the car.

Most likely I'm gonna sell that volvo intercooler, it'll cost me a lot of money to get the endtanks welded onto there also and I'd still have to cut it in half. haha I don't know if it'll fit behind my evo bumper.

I got one too!!! My dad works at a shape and they can fabricate end-tanks for dirt cheap.

I was thinking of cutting it shorter and adding new endtanks to it then selling it what do you think?

check these intercoolers like 300$ any side from 30" x4 to 18" he cant change the width of them though but it will fit in our bumpers with some mods...

wow damn I bet I you could make fat money off making 2 FMICs with it. The endtanks on the volvo one are plastic also so if you put new ones you could upgrade it. Now how to get rid of all that black paint hmm... I know intercooler fabrication isn't cheap. It cost me a good 100 bux to modify my starion intercooler. If I only had the tools and the skills!

also I see those volvo intercoolers go for pretty cheap on ebay. It's pretty thin though , I wonder how a modified half volvo IC would do against a starion.
