okay.. im looking to buy a HRC stage one kit..since ive heard good things about them and they are litterally right up the street from me... but my question is what boost can i get out of the kit if i get an intercooler somewhere else and how much extra would i spend on the IC and piping, plus what other mods would i need to make this work... im hoping i can save money going this route instead of buying stage 2.

this question has been answered several thousand times, id do a thread search if i were u, doubt u will get many responses. but if you get a fmic for around 300-600 and get custom ic piping made usually around 100-200 bucks is from what i hear, mine was free, (hookup) get a better bov for around 150. your prob looking at about 600-800 bucks depending on your fmic. plus go ahead and get u a egt, about 90 bucks after it gets to your door step, and other misc. guages, i wouldnt run no more than 10psi on a stock block if that. heard of many peeps boosting 10+ on stock blocks. hope this helps ya out a lil..

Get a Starion FMIC if you are planning on going this route. They can be had for under 100$ if you can find one, and cool rather well. Mate this with a water spray for the hot days (if needed) and it should work very well. I know a muffler shop that does exactly the piping you are looking for and charges ~ 100 - 200 for full piping Turbo-IC-tb.. So you can manage for ~200-300 to get the setup, plus extra little parts. As for boost, I wouldnt go too high on the stock internals if I were you. You may look into spending the extra money you will save customizing the FMIC into a bottom end kit. Just my opinion though.

Great for the price, and would allow him to boost mid levels boost and put quite a bit towards the bottom end kit. I have the feeling this guy wants to get things up and set then upgrade things imo. The way hes worried about saving the money makes it sound like hes on a budget, and doing it this way would be the best to do so. The starion can flow without leaking at pretty high pressures, but not as well as the 800$ + brands as it is a factory one, and can easily be ugraded with a similar core sized expensive one at any time that he feels the need.
