Had some "mishaps" with engine, taking the opportunity to replace everything with forged parts.. Once it's all done, I'll have the same T04R, as well as the following::

Eagle forged rods
Wiseco 8.5:1 .20 over Pistons, hastings rings
500cc injectors (or 390, not sure whats in there now)
AFX UDP
full rebuild
new OE main studs (ARP isn't making them for us until Jan.)

What kind of numbers should I be shooting for? I want it to be drivable, engine longevity IS a concern,, needs to last me at least 5-6 years... boost controller has low/high setting so I can have one configuration for street/one for strip so that's not a problem,, question is what should I tell ATP I want? (dyno place that says they'll do the tuning).. TIA!!

Umm, how are you planning on having good driveability with a TO4R? Thats the single turbo that inline 6 Supras are using to push over 700hp and you plan on using it on a 4-banger? Boost isn't gonna build till real late, I'd suggest a smaller turbo. Just a suggestion.

LOL! well .. supra guys did all the work on the car originally (they did a shitty job, btw..) ... used cheap bolts on the turbo manifold,, those came apart the first night i got it,, mechanic says some bolts in the engine were either UNBELIEVABLY tight, or totally loose... the harmonics pulley he called it (one that drives power steering/AC if you have it) had to be drilled out .. tried two different pullers didnt work... :eek:

Ehhh it was fine at 7/9 psi... engine gets up to 3,500 (where it hits) pretty easily...

the turbo's oversized-ness aside, what boost should I run, how much hp can I expect??

i here ya, not many people looking or replying raid, the turbos a lil big so you prob wont see full boost till around 4k. when it hits it will hard, id say around 300 at 14psi's or so, i couldnt really tell ya a exact number, optimus could, although i really havent heard much from him lately, STAGE 3- 5 GUYS, HELP THIS BROTHER OUT!!!

Yea you could make up to 300WHP with that stuff.. but like ^^^ said it will probly come on late in the game...big turbo = lag time.

You should first find out what size injectors you have. That is ever so slightly important. Do you know the specs on your turbo? That will also make a big difference.

As for numbers, that depends on a lot of things, but instead of trying to tune for a specific number you should try and tune for a certain state of tune and then you will see what your numbers are from there. Tuning for a number is not how it is done.

Yeah I'm trying to get a hold of my mechanic,,, I do not know for certain what injectors are in the engine right now,, but I'll definitely be upgrading if theyre stock or less than 500.. :D

Specs on the turbo... no fucken clue!!

Original owner always told me that the turbo should start kicking in around 3,5 but watching the boost meter/tach,, its more like 3,8.

Just googled it... two separate sites say the manufacturer of it is actually HKS.... !!

well depends on your tuning dude if you can get it to run fine at higher boost your looking for. Hmm well I'm not sure how much those injectors will handle but that will be what limits you in the power your looking for. That and how strong those eagle rods and forged pistons can take. I'd say oh 500 HP they're rated at. You might wanna start reinforcing things like axles and stuff cuz you'll tear through that stuff.
