for the guages i'm getting egt, boost, jumptronix a/f, fuel pressure.
now which two guages to put on that autometer bezel (volt, oil temp, oil pressure, etc).

also what do i need to do the install, such as jacks and a lot of time.

is the apexi s-afc recommended to be safe with 315cc injectors.

edit: are autometer guages good or to better state the question, are they good for some jobs like boost, while weak on other (which ones)?

OK, I'm a tad confused. I would put EGT and Boost where you can see them first. A/F and FP ought to be next in line. Do you need a jack for what? The install of the gauges or the kit? Not for Boost,A/f, FP, or EGT. Autometer is what I use and I have never had any probs with them (knocks on wood) The Oil pressure would be the only gauge that will need a jack to get to the sender. Buy some fuses and alot of different color wires to install and keep track of which colors go to which gauge for future reference.

Oh, and the S-AFC and 315's. Get rid of the S-AFC and get a Vortech S-FMU and run your injectors with that. I was really considering the S-AFC route and 30lb injectors just for 8-10psi and timing is pulled too much for me to follow through with those plans, so I'm selling mine and saving for the Vortech S-FMU and keeping my Vortech FMU for the fiance's Neon (custom turbo one of these days).

oh shiznit. jack stands to do the turbo install.

shit now i'm confuse too. so you can't use the safc with a vortech sfmu? sorry my kit hasn't arrived yet. can anyone clear that up.

damn too many questions.

so what is the difference between 30lbs injectors and 315cc injectors.

Yep, you definetly need dem jacks. I don't see any reason why you can't use an SAFC with the SFMU. Also, 315cc and 30 lbs. are the same.

thank you. you have enlightened me robotech guy. (god i need to sleep)

i looked at the vortech website and now now a little more about how it works. it seems like the apexi sfmu is a lot more advance cause don't you just dial in the settings in the cabin.

For the gauges, you really only need to have: EGT, A/F, boost, and electrical fuel pressure. If you just want other gauges just for shizzles, then an oil pressure and water temp gauges might be helpful.

For fuel, if you plan to run 315cc injectors, you shouldn't need an S-AFC to help lean the fuel. The stock ECU will be able to run those 30 Lbs. injectors. An adjustable FPR (or FMU) will help to help lower the idle fuel pressure. The Apexi S-AFC has worked for many people, but there's a general consensus that it could affect the MAP sensor readings, since that's what we use to hook up the AFC to.
