Alright, I finally made the decision to go turbo (I think, lol). I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on a few things before I commit to anything. My goal is to have a clean set-up. So which kit is clean, HRC or Star. When I say clean I mean it requires no welding, cutting, etc. or do both. I also want a clean set-up inside the car, how does everyone set it up (Pics?). Finally, I have a Thermal R&D 2.25 inch cat back exhaust that I dropped a good amount of money on, will I have to replace that if I go turbo. (please say no!). I can handle a slight reduction in power with the 2.25 cat-back if that is the only drawback of a smaller cat-back.

Both kits look clean. The big diff I see is that Star has the turbo upfront and in your face... :)

Also, the exhaust will be fine for now, atleast as long as you are running moderate boost. Once you get ready to really rip it up, do yourself and your baby a big favor, get a 3" cat back. Your turbo will love you for it... :P

you can just but the front section catback if you want and weld it to the thermal rear section. HP Motorsports, pacesetter, and Apex all make them, or you could buy a cheap cat back system, use the piping and sell the rear section. both kits are clean like he said, the star has nicer piping though.

Phat99Eclipse, what is a moderate amount of boost, Is a Stage II Star or HRC too much for the 2.25 catback?

the base amount is 5psi, the high amount on stock internals is 10psi, so moderate would be 7psi. you can run 10psi on a 2.25" catback but you will see a much greater HP increase with a 3". the higher your boost the greater increase you will see with a bigger pipe

here is what i recomend...

star stage II, 9 PSI, stock internals, 310 injectors, S-AFC, S-FMU, 3" turbo back exhauts, lower the front, and you'll run with hrc's stage III that you can't even buy
