This been happening ever since I put on my turbo. I live in Colorado Springs when I drive up to denver I only have a half a tank already. Wutts up wit dat. its only 90 miles to get up there. Does anyone have this problem? Could it be my o2 sensor sending too much fuel or my vortech fmu. Im only running at 6psi for now.

Yes, it could very well be your fuel pressure too high, or more likely your O2 sensor is on its way out.

Do you have an A/F meter? If so, does it bounce up and down during normal closed loop operation? If not, replace it. If it does bounce up and down, it might be something else.

Yea I do have a air fuel it doesnt bounce back and forth though. The only time it changes is when I shift then it goes back to stoich again. Never goes to green though unless I boost it real hard. Yes Im in pretty high elevation right now but I dont think thats the problem wit it.is there anyways I can adjust the fuel on my vortech fmu? Which O2 sensor would it be, and where is it located at>?

I fit doesn't bounce during normal driving operation (anytime your're not WOT), it's broke.

It's located at the bottom bend of your DP right under your turbo. Get a new one from anywhere. Cheapest would probably be some online autoparts store. I know my brother was able to price them as cheaply as $35 or so.

There's no need to fool with the FPR except to check if you're running ridiculously rich. You may want to pull your plugs and examine them for overly carboned conditions. There may be a reason why you're O2 sensor went bad, coinciding with the install of your turbo system. Typically, it's from too much fuel. Give your fuel pressure guage a look and make sure you're running your fuel pressures within spec.

one more question how do I check my fuel pressure and how do i know what is the right pressure for it?

You need a fuel pressure gauge tee'ed off of your fuel return line before your FPR (or off of your fuel rail somewhere).

WOW, another CO boosted 420a!!! That makes 3 (and Im still the fastest :-) ) I guess you never really know who is from where until they say so.

I’m sure you could fix it a bit if you are at too high of fuel pressure. Gas mileage on our cars wasn’t ever that great anyway. But boosting definitely puts a dent in it even more that’s for sure.

You need a fuel pressure gauge to check you fuel pressure. Definitely look into getting at least a mechanical gauge soon. Only problem w/ the mechanical gauge is you can’t put it inside the cockpit. If you go the electrical gauge wrought you can put it inside the car. They just cost more money.

If your fp is too high lower it and do a full tune up and you should get better mileage (not much).

Ok I just read the upper post. If your a/f isn’t cycling back and forth you are too rich. It should bounce back and forth at idle and cursing. (close loop) it should be in the last few bars of green under full throttle.

Do you have a CEL?

Like Jason said you may have a cooked o2.

Its either your o2 or too high of fp.
