I have no Boost Controller and on a real cool night my boost gauge will spike to 10 psi at 2/3 throttle. HOw do I control the spike so that I don't blow my motor. I'm thinking of routing the WG line back to the compressor so this doesn't happen again

Very cool air will cause spikes by 1-2 psi. I don't think there isn't a way to completely prevent the "air effect" from happening. You could just setup your fuel system on the richer side (it doesn't have to be overly rich) to safeguard against this kind of boost spike during the cooler season. Actually, you need to run on the richer side because of cooler, denser air anyway.

You will have less spiking when the wastegate line is connected to the compressor side of the turbo, especially if you do not have a boost controller set slightly above your wastgate setting.

Leaks in your piping will also cause boost spikes.

Reroute it and fix any leaks, this should help.
