342, how much power can the stock internals hold? Posted by Irfan, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I plan to eventually run about 10psi daily. With enough fuel and monitoring, would the stock internals hold up? It woudl be nice to save a couple grand :-)

Certainly, with adequate fuel maintained for 10 psi's of boost, you should be able to get somewhere from 250-300 hp depending on your supporting mods. From what I've heard and read, the stock internals whould be able to withstand close to the 300 hp mark. I know HRC blew a rod when they ran out of fuel at the 16 psi level. I don't know if anyone truly knows how many horses te stock internals could hold if adequate fuel was always maintained. The compression is high, however, so a good rule of thumb is probably 275 hp or so.
