Well today, me and Fast420A finally smacked the 1G SMIC on, after 2 months of sitting in my garage. It was an extremely nice, cool weather on that evening. We got the laptop with the datalogger program, doing the Brian Spilner, and went out for a little test run. The car now boosts at 3 psi instead of the usual 5-6, BUT it pulls SO MUCH MORE STRONGER than non-ic 5-6 psi. We go a lean code, 0171 or something like that, which is more likely caused by a bad MAP or FCD voltage is a little low. We didn't have time to look up the voltage, but it was safe to assume that it was, because I have about 100 psi of FP according to the gauge. The EGT's still run a bit high but it takes a bit longer to get hotter now. It still gets hot, but we guess that it's because of the FCD voltage. Time to get a Missing Link, I guess. Also, my 3000GT BOV isn't as loud as it was before, oh well, I'm auto and don't have the luxury of BOV sounds very gear.

Run your wastegate vac line from the intake manifold to get it back up the 5-6psi. And 100psi at 3 pounds of boost!!! That can't be good.

You can do that with an internal wastegate?????.....hmmmmmmm.......I'll definetly have to check it out. But yeah, even though 100 psi at 3 lbs. of boost, the still high EGT's I was getting where thought of 1st as afterburn. Until the CEL came up and it was a lean code, mostly likely has something to do with the MAP sensor

Lol, I'm talking about the epitome of all ghettoness in piping. Hey what ever works right. I'll post some pics of my multicolored piping as soon as Fast420A uploads it in his site. All in all, the parts used where:

Napa radiator hoses (acts us supplementary couplers) = 25 bucks <---rape
Hose clamps 2 pack at 2.50 each x 5 = around 13 bucks
A piece of exhaust piping, same diameter as IC piping = 5 bucks
Rerouted and cut the stock stage 1 piping = free, came with kit
Got a lower IC piping from an HRC kit from a board member = 40 bucks
SMIC = 60 on ebay
Total = 143 bucks, and i'm almost a stage 2 minus the boost controller, that's a lot better than the 800 bucks that Hahn want for there SMIC setup.

Don't forget the Turbo to IC piping you got from Armond.

yep, yer deff running lean because of the FCD. That happened to me when i was running 8 psi and the HRC FCD. It was bad and keeping my map voltage under boost too low, which caused the ECU to run too little of fuel injector duty cycle, causing to run lean with over 120 psi of fuel pressure! Got the missing link, and took care of that...

That's kewl man, we were almost sure that it was the FCD when we go that CEL. But we didn't have time to check it cuz my gurl is getting ansy for me to get home :'( It's good to know that the FCD will, chances are, take care of that. I think that may have been the problem all along, even when I was at stage 1 and thinking that I'm running too rich.

Hey RoboTechDSM, where did you get your Datalogger adapter and software from? I've got the labtop but a couple of people have told me diff stories on what to buy... i know it's very helpful to you and i'm sure it will help me... Thanks man!

It's actually my datalogger we were using. I got it through www.ghg.net/dharrison It only displays realtime info on a palm but will log and graph on a laptop and it's universal so it works on any car. All for $170
