I know many questions have been asking about doing a custom turbo kit, but who in here has a custom kit?? How much did it end up costing?? And what parts did you use (turbo, fuel components, ic, etc)

I have a total of like $3900 in an equivalent Stage 3. The part list has been posted tons of times so I'll let someone else post that ;)

so far I have spent over $2600 and my car is not even boosted yet
I have 1 manifold (I'm making them with a partner) 1 rebuilt IHI RHB-52 turbo, 1 3 inch cat back system, 1 hi-flow cat, walbro fuel pump, ford #30 injectors, Vortech SFMU, dual egt gauge, a/f gauge, boost gauge, modified 2G turbo intercooler fitted with an active electric fan pulled from a motorcycle radiator, battery relocation, water injection system, control computer for water injection active intercooler and boost control solenoid

And for the engine swap section of my turbo project
rods pistons and rings made for the Pt Cruiser turbo, cryogenically treated for extra strenght, 2001 2.4 short block, new oil pan, new oil pump

Still needed: 2.0L head , everything needed to rebuilt the engine,
ignition upgrade, custom 2.5 inch downpipe

I have around 1200 into mine, and Im not boosted yet either. At first I bought the cheapest shit (or close) and now Im making sure Im doing it right. Heres my list:
Custom Manifold, IHI RHB5 turbo (bad ass! great deal on this perfect turbo), Bosh BOV, custom downpipe, HRC FCD, 2g RX7 intercooler, oil lines and fittings, water lines (dont have fittings yet) Fuel return line,Walbro pump, vortech FMU (switched from cartech), air/fuel, egt, boost, fuel guages, oil gasket and exhaust gasket, Still cant decide on inc. piping :( , and some other misc parts

***Also if anyon knows the fitting or knows where I can get a right up of how do get a fitting on the stock 97 fuel rail for the return line. I know it is the same on 97+ maybe even 96. I want to make sure before I put it in. I would greatly appreciate it.
Also I can get a intercooler piping kit from someone, but if anyone knows of a good cheap place to get some intercooler piping (minus the local mufler shop :), and I'll be done (for now of course))

I have about 1300 into mine. Boosting well now.....3psi, about to turn it up :) I am going to get a couple of parts over the winter too, injectors, FMIC, SFMU, and forged internals.. That will bring my total costs way up there!

I would recomend that if you have the money buy a hrc or starr kit. Shoot there are a couple of people here that have kits for sale.

so far i got 600 in mine, i have a brand new hrc manifold and hrc super 16g i got off ebay. i also have a turbo xs rfl bov. around 600 bucks so far. not including the AFC AVC-R and other electronics.

yea no intercooler. I will get a nice FMIC this winter. I plan on spending about a grand or so on all my parts..then I'm done with this project. Time for some exterior mods.. :)

14b, manifold, stage 2 piping, fmic, sfmu, accel in-line pump, egt, fuel pressure, a/f, boost, oil pressure, 3000gt bov but should be getting hks standard this week, 5 psi internal wastegate (if i can fit), no fuel and oil lines, no fittings, no fcd, no downpipe, no gaskets. I'm around $1000.
