33920, Curious about EGTs...

I'm curious if this is normal...

Lets say I'm accelerating on the interstate. If I accelerate at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, my EGTs are usually at about 700-750*C. However, if I stomp it to full throttle my EGTs go down usually about 50*C. I assume this is just the ECU shutting off it's control and taking the injectors to 100% duty cycle? Yes?

Not 100% duty, but yeah, the ECU stops trimming fuel at WOT, soyou'll go from a slightly lean cruise condition to a slightly rich WOT condition, and if everything is as it should be, the EGTs should actually drop a bit right after you go WOT.

I think the extra fuel being dumped into the cylinders also help cool it a little before the extra load actually kicks in. Also, maybe the EGT sensor probe can't transmit the change quick enough, resulting in a bit of fluctuation.

Where did you guy's purchase your EGT's (website) and for about how much? Everytime I search for this I just find a bunch of posts about people's EGT temps and where to mount the probe and so forth...
