just wondering if the clevite 77 rod and main bearing set as well as the melling oil pump are the same for us 420a dohc? i got a mitsubishi eclipse ... i see it listen under the neon section, but not under eclipse.

yes, when i bought my melling oil pump from Summit, I originally had the guy look it up for a DOHC Neon and THEN for my car, to avoid confusion with the 4g6. The p/n's are the same. As for the Clevite 77's, You end up having to buy two sets of upper main bearings, and i think the rod bearings are the same as the neon, but you can't quote me on it. The notch on the lower main bearing is incorrectly placed, so it won't fit unless you have the machine shop go in and dremel in a new notch, and fill the old one (yuck, not a good idea). So, you have two sets of lower bearings sitting around collecting dust.
