How many people on here have been succecfully running ~15psi on the stock differential? I am really worried about blowing mine out as soon as I get my head and tranny back in. I'll be damned if I blow that shit up right after I had the tranny out for a seal repair!! I just don't have the $1200 right now for a quaife. But if you guys say I NEED it, then I guess I'm gonna have to get one somehow....thanks guys.

u could try a phantom grip, pin brackets and replace the bearing for the diff to be safe im gonna do that and im not going to get the outrageous priced bearings from the dealor 2 bearing supply houses by me that have awesome products for nice prices...

I ran 8-10 psi for about a year, and I've been boosting 15-16 daily for about 6 months now and no problems yet (knock on wood). When I have the money, I'm going to upgrade to the Quaife LSD for a better traction. I think you'll snap the stock axles before having to worry about the stock differential.

Who sells axles that won't snap?

I have had the quaife sitting in my garage for about 3 months. I am kind of curious about the Phantom Grip so I ordered one just for shits and giggles. Should have it next week.

I am going to put the Phantom Grip in first and test it out both daily driving and at the tracks. After I do that I am going to put the quaife in and see what the difference is.

the drive shaft shop has some beefy stage 2 axles that shouldn't snap for u unless your armond =)

there isa shop in my town that will build something like it for like 279$ a piece... i need to check more into it

Actually, I believe that there is an improved stage 2 now available. I will let Armond clarify, but he requested the stage 2 axles to be solid, rather then tubular, and he is no longer breaking them. But once again, I will let him explain.

i get my axles at pep boys... lifetime guarantee :-) id rather them break before something inside the tranny does. the guys at the pep boys around here are VERY cool. they know what kinda car the axles are going in, and they have always replaced mine with not one whimper. only had to have it done twice though. if you have the Quaiffe already, DO NOT waste the money on the phantom grip, its a cheap imitation of what the quaife really is, no need for it.
