33438, need help with fuel system
Posted by rfpunch, Oct-27-02 07:33 AM
im still having problems figuring out my fuel system. the shop has my car running, except one line coming off the tank is capped off. i know there is a pressure line that should go from the tank to the regulator to the filter to the front of the car. and there has to be a return from the regulator to the line that is capped off. does anyone have any diagrams of this because satan cant figure anything out either. thanks

what year is your car?
that fuel sys. are you using? star, hahn, 8 inj.?
if you are 97+ w/star or hahn kit there should be a return line running from the FPR(under the car) to the tank. not quite sure about the 95-96, but they should all have a return line.

There should only be one line at the tank connection that was taken off. I dont know what you mean by one was capped off. You need to put back on the stock FPR, it attaches to the stock fuel filter end. With the turbo kit, you took off the one line at the tank, that had gone to the stock FPR return line, totally got rid of the stock FPR at the fuel filter. YOu installed a whole new return line that went to the engine bay, that had now connected to that old return line fitting on the tank. So basically, you just reconnect the stock FPR to the filter, and run the return line from the stock FPR back onto the tank fitting, and then reconnect the fuel line feed going to the motor into the stock FPR. That should be it really. Hopefully that made sense :)
